About this project

A travel brand offering curated trips with professional guides, where the website carries the entire first impression — there is no shopfront and the customer is often on another continent.

Travel purchases have unusually long consideration periods. Someone may browse for weeks before enquiring and months before travelling, frequently returning to the same pages, so the structure prioritises destination content that stands up to repeat reading over urgency tactics that expire.

Trip and guide information is presented so a visitor can picture the experience specifically rather than generically, and enquiry handling accounts for visitors arriving in other timezones and currencies.

Questions

What people ask about projects like this

The consideration period. People research for weeks and return repeatedly, so content has to reward a second and third visit. Urgency tactics that work in e-commerce tend to backfire on a purchase people are deliberately taking their time over.

With an immediate automatic acknowledgement that sets expectations, because your visitor may be twelve hours ahead and will otherwise assume nobody read it. Prices shown in the visitor’s currency help, provided the currency actually charged is stated plainly.

For curated or guided trips, usually not — those sell through conversation. What it needs is an enquiry flow capturing dates, group size and interests so the first reply can be a real proposal rather than a request for more information.
